How to become a scorekeeper
Scorekeeping is a paid position assigned to all A and AA games as well as all playoffs and regional’s.
To become a scorekeeper you must meet the following criteria
- 13 Years of age or older
- Knowledge of baseball
As was the case last year, all clinics will consist of 2 parts:
Stage 1: Theory, to be done online and Part 2: Practical, to be done in person taught by an instructor, (almost certainly on Zoom once again this year). Both parts of the Scorekeeping Clinic must be completed in order to complete the clinic.
Part 1: Theory
As of today, it is possible to register and begin the online, theory part of the clinic. Scorekeepers may progress through the online module at their own pace, with the only
requirement being that it be successfully completed before Part 2 of the clinic.
You can register for the online portion of the clinics here:
- When registering select the region "Lac St. Louis"
- For the Association scroll down the list and select Lac st. Louis.
After an online clinic registration has been verified and authorized, Baseball Quebec will send a username and password to access the online module within 72 hours.
Part 2: Practical
It will only be possible to register for Part 2 of the scorekeeping clinics after successfully completing the online module. Once the schedule of the season becomes more clear, we will provide further details on the times for these Zoom clinics.
